Mildon Studios has released M4GIQ, a new 4-band stereo-imager and EQ VST plug-in for Windows. Here’s what they say about it :

At some point, every music producer or sound engineer will encounter that one guitar line or vocal phrase that just won’t sit right in the mix. And no matter how much de-esser you apply to that belting female track, it still sounds harsh. Maybe you’ve experienced something like this in the past, or maybe you’re working on that “nightmare” project right now. While M4GIQ is by no means a one-shot solution for such a scenario, it can help you get it right with a little balancing (and spreading) act.

In October we released a tiny plugin called, Vocal Spread. Since its release people have been asking me for a plugin that offers more control so they can use it for tracks other than vocals. A lot of users found the plugin useful for widening the sound, taming harsh sibilants, and making the track cut-through with ease. Since the Vocal Spread plugin does some pre-EQ designed for vocals, it can only be used for a small variety of mid-range instruments. So we all wanted more, more control, more knobs, more flexibility, more instruments to spread. It’s time for some M4GIQ.

M4GIQ gives you 4 adjustable bands with individual Panning, EQ, and Delay. It also has draggable High-Pass and Low-Pass Filters. Each band has a Mute Switch, so you can audition them individually. The color-coded knobs and band display correspond to each band grouping for easy visualization.

The regular price is $24.00. As part of Mildon Studios Crazy Christmas Promo, you can purchase this for only $8.00 until January 3, 2011.
